Fan Fiction
Would you like to read about the further adventures of Paul and Scott? Maybe you know of a story or essay out there that we may not know of yet? Maybe you've even written your own story or essay and would like to share it with others? (Or, if you'd like to have someone review your draft and offer feedback, we can help with that, too.) STARMAN characters have shown up in "cross universe" stories as well. Imagine Paul and Scott meeting Fox and Scully from THE X-FILES, or Sam Beckett from QUANTUM LEAP!
Announcing the Return of SSI's FanFic Archive
Archive of Our Own is a fan-created, non-commercial archive of fan fiction
from over 9000 fandoms, and currently hosts about 350,000 works. It offers
some features we think you will like, such as story summaries, different
sorts, number of hits, and a capability for comments and kudos.
You do not need to register to read or provide feedback on a story. If you
want to post a story, you can either register and post it yourself, or send
your stories to our , and we will include them under
our official SSI "How Novel" banner, adding html edits where needed. Your
fastest way to post, of course, would be to do it directly.
Long-time fans will remember the "How Novel" column in our BLUE LIGHTS
newsletter, discussing and listing the latest STARMAN stories. Yep, we used
to have writers creating enough material to fill a column every month at one
point. It was like getting a whole new season of STARMAN in the mail every
time! Most of those works were in print only; we are working to recover some
of them and will add these to our How Novel endeavor over time.
In the meantime, enjoy the large number of stories already posted. You'll
find many of the annual Fan Quality Award winners included. We're still
adding more as other authors contribute their works. If you have a story or
feel like creating a story, go for it! We firmly believe these stories are
our legacy to keeping STARMAN alive for future generations of fans, and if
you're so inclined, we invite you to do your bit.
